Job Description

Project Financial ControllerPfi, PPP, Infrastructure & Real Estate, Home Working£90,000 - £100,000 + Bonus + benefitsThe CompanyAs a market leader within the Pfi & PPP sector, this high-growth long term developer, investor and operator of public sector infrastructure assets supports a broad range of projects encompassing Property, Construction, Infrastructure and Waste Recycling. Continuedand successful expansion through winning bids, financial close and new projects has created an opportunity for a graduate qualified accountant, from a Big 4, Top 10 or FTSE environment, to undertake a Financial Controller role with responsibility for a keybusiness entity within a Project Management division. Supporting the Divisional Finance Director and investment advisors, your brief includes:Key Responsibilities of the Project Financial Controller

  • Divisional performance reporting for multiple projects; monthly P&L & cash analysis & variance reporting
  • Delivering current & relevant financial data to stakeholders for project companies
  • Managing monthly management accounts, quarterly forecasts & annual business plans production
  • Overseeing development of portfolio project financial processes comprising budgeting, forecasting, management & financial data including financial model updates
  • Managing Portfolio team to provide investor & financial services to investors & projects
  • Driving financial analysis & review of external projects
  • Reviewing financial model updates & monitoring cash flow forecasts
  • Management of year-end audit processes for funds & projects
  • Identifying & supporting the implementation of Financial Value Enhancements
  • Participating in the development of accounting systems for project entities
  • Mobilisation of new projects in line with financial applications, procedures & documents
Skills & Attributes of the Project Financial Controller
  • Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience/QBE accountant
  • Experience within the Pfi or PPP sectors
  • demonstrate significant technical accounting & financial reporting skills, evidence of supporting senior stakeholders and a track record of driving team, functional and divisional improvements
  • proven experience of Project Finance accounting and preferably SPV, JV and/or LLP, ideally gained within the PPP
  • Strong team management and process improvement experience
