Job Description

IT Infrastructure Manager - Infrastructure - ITIL - Relationship Building - Up To £60,000- Cloud Services - Delivery - MSP - Technical Management - South East - WFH - Leadership - InfrastructureConcept Resourcing are proud to be working with a company who are passionate about what they do and are looking for people who are also passionate about what they do. Our client is an establish company, providing cloud communications and managed servicessolutions.IT Infrastructure ManagerWFH with ocassional travel to South East, UKUp to £60,000 + benefits packageWe are seeking an Infrastructure Manager with experience in managing day-to-day infrastructure services ideally in the managed service provider, cloud service or telco industries. This role will report to the Director of Information Systems (IS).The successful candidate needs to have skills covering enterprise infrastructure, projects, management, application support, change management, governance and ideally worked in an ITIL environment.This is a hands-on role, and so you must be able to fulfil an operational/technical manager role engaging in implementing solutions and technologies to deliver value and competitive advantage, whilst having direct reports.Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for and champion best practices and proactive approaches
  • Work with all IS and business units to ensure that all services and projects are delivered correctly.
  • Managing, monitoring, and supporting the companys internal on-premises, public and cloud-based IT infrastructure
  • To ensure appropriate documentation and processes are available or created for all IS infrastructure services
  • Mentoring and equipping the infrastructure team to effectively support the business
  • To provide critical incident management response and ownership, coordinating and supporting necessary activities to restore any impacted services, root cause analysis and solutions
  • Actively participate in and support Business continuity and disaster recovery
  • Infrastructure service catalogue and license management ownership
  • Team management, recruitment, performance, and supervision
  • Point of escalation for the infrastructure team and helpdesk
  • Ensure adherence to relevant controls, regulatory requirements, and company policies
Key Skills and Experience:
  • Extensive experience leading technical staff in a pro-active and personable manner
  • Experience of using helpdesk software within an environment following ITIL guidelines, ensuring requests and changes are completed in a timely fashion
  • Ability to successfully manage and deliver multiple concurrent workstreams, liaising effectively with other teams and business units where required
  • Experience liaising with 3rd party vendors, researching new technologies, IT hardware selection and configuration.
  • Virtualisation technologies - VMware, Hyper-V and Public Cloud (AWS, Azure)
  • Office 365 Administration, deployment and troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management solutions, preferably Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager
  • Windows Server (2008-2019), Active Directory and related roles e.g., DNS, DHCP, ADCS, NPS etc.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving skills and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Good working knowledge of deployments using System Centre (SCCM) and SAN technologies
  • Good working knowledge of telephony, cloud or on-premises, ideally Avaya
  • Good working knowledge of VPN and associated technologies including MFA
  • Strong experience with backup and related platforms e.g., Veeam, Zerto, Cloud etc.
  • Practical knowledge of ITIL, Change management and Continual Service Improvement (CSI), coaching and motivating the team on both
  • A clear understanding of data protection (GDPR) and information governance (ISO27001)
  • Develop a firm understanding of the infrastructure, and technologies used by the team to deliver IS services
Qualifications:
  • A Microsoft Windows/Azure/AWS certification or have relevant experience
  • Previous experience leading a team and being a point of escalation
  • It is expected that the candidate will be degree-qualified, although this is not essential.
