Job Description

HVAC/BMS ENGINEERJunior - MidSeniorPrincipalWe are currently looking for dynamic and experienced professionals to join our team at [Company Name] in the role of Commissioning Engineer.We have openings at three distinct levels: Engineer, Senior Engineer, and Principal Engineer.If you thrive in a challenging and collaborative environment, possess a strong background in commissioning controls for plant and equipment, and excel in client communication, we invite you to explore these exciting opportunities.Objectives:

  • Foster positive and effective communication with clients, sub-contractors, and Sauter team members.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager team to achieve commissioning goals and meet project deadlines.
  • Execute commissioning of plant and equipment in accordance with client specifications.
  • Verify, configure, and if necessary, modify project software and documentation.
  • Implement panel modifications as needed.
  • Conduct client system demonstrations and provide user training.
Responsibilities:As a remote worker reporting to the Technical Director, you will be responsible for:
  • Pre-commissioning/commissioning of controls for all equipment connected to the Sauter system.
  • Regular communication with the project management team, providing progress reports and identifying obstacles.
  • Coordinating with clients and sub-contractors to ensure accurate implementation of the design.
  • Demonstrating, training, and handing over the system to the end client upon completion of commissioning.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience with control systems; software and product training will be provided.
  • Experience in commissioning HVAC controls and building management systems is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of non-proprietary protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and mBus is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure and networking.
  • Valid UK driving license.
Location:
  • Primarily within the London area with occasional projects across the South. Some national travel may be required.
Person Specification:Engineer (2 to 5 years experience):
  • Ability to work independently with minimal support.
  • Effective communication skills for conveying technical information.
  • Diligence in comprehending and planning project requirements.
Senior Engineer (5 to 10 years experience):
  • Problem-solving skills and creativity in facing challenges.
  • Positive and outgoing nature, open-minded and non-confrontational.
  • Leadership qualities for overseeing/mentoring others and providing technical support.
Principal Engineer (At least 10 years experience):
  • Leadership qualities to lead a project team and oversee/mentor others.
  • Excellent communication skills for client/internal meetings and staff training.
  • Organized and forward planner, capable of handling multiple tasks/projects.
  • Meticulous approach to tasks, working diligently and systematically.
