Sarah aged 13 is a talkative and bright young lady who is very theatrical and enjoys drawing, fashion and reading. Sarah attends a mainstream girls day school.She can struggle to regulate her emotions in stressful situations. She needs support to regulate and to reinforce strong, consistent boundaries. George aged 14 enjoys all kinds of art and computer games. He is a weekly boarder at a special therapeutic school,returning home at weekends and school holidays. He also needs strong, consistent boundaries that reinforce the therapeutic work the school is doing. George can struggle to understand the needs of others and can wind them up in pursuit of a reaction. Alistairaged 15 loves football and is very into fashion. He attends a 52-week residential school due to his additional needs, but he comes home for short periods of time in the school holidays. Alistair needs support being with his siblings and parents, managing hisemotions and stepping away from conflict.Overview of role: This family have been working closely with a therapeutic consultant and a Snap Care Support Worker for about 2 years and great progress has been made. We are now looking for a new Support Worker who can continue the fantastic work that has been achieved. Thisrole requires a confident and emotionally robust support worker to work closely with the children, both parents, and associated professionals.Most of your time will be spent with Sarah maintaining consistent boundaries, promoting independence, emotional regulationresilience and empathy whilst also occupying the children on outings to help develop social skills. Youll be working in an environment that offers professional support, guidance, and supervision; but youll also need to be confident to be in sole charge,working independently, initiating, organising, and engaging the children in age-appropriate activities. Option to work more Saturdays if required and the occasional Sunday.
