Experienced Social Worker - Keeping Children Safe at Home - Ouststanding Authority£36,667 - £43,978 + £2,000 yearly lump sum + mileage/parking (inclusive of benefits which are reviewed and sometimes increased) A Local Authority with an Outstanding Ofsted is looking for a Social Worker to take part in their unique model which is aimed at keeping children at home, as long as they are safe.The model adopts a multidisciplinary, multi-agency service made up of Social Workers, Psychologists, MH Workers, Domestic Abuse workers, Substance Misuse Workers, and 2 Adult Social Workers. The service supports families, parents and children, using a technique called Motivational Interviewing, which is designed to identify risks earlier on and guide parents to make the changes needed to improve outcomes at home.The Authority has a fantastic working environment which successfully provides the support needed for Social Workers to stay there long term, which is why their retention is so high. The office is an open plan floor with all of the Childrens teams sitting in the same room which makes everything very accessible, removing many barriers that most authorities struggle with.Everyone knows each other and gets along, and they have events which take part regularly such as Tough Mudder, Yoga Groups, various after work activities, and even two therapy dogs which come to the office which you can pet! I have not had a single Social Worker reject an offer from the authority due to the benefits of the role.They are looking for someone who has experience as a Childrens Social Worker, who is fully conversant with Safeguarding legislation, as this is a Safeguarding based team.
