Cloud and Infrastructure Architect (Azure)6 months £650 per day (Inside IR35)Remote with travel to site a few times a monthMy client in the utilities industry are looking for a Cloud and Infrastructure Architect to join their fast paced team on an initial 6 month contract. The ideal candidate will be well versed with Azure and On Premise Architecture.Must have skills:* Strong hands-on design and implementation experience* A wide-ranging infrastructure exposure, including as many of the following as possible:i. Provision of infrastructure for business applicationsii. Digital solutionsiii. Cloud delivery - Microsoft Azure infrastructure and costingiv. Cloud delivery - AWS infrastructure and costingv. Application Delivery - Citrix XenApp, MS App-V ,vi. Network designvii. Middlewarei. Servers and storageii. Virtualisation - Hyper-V and VMwareiii. Provision of infrastructure for databases - SQL and Oracleiv. Operations* Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments* Project solution architecture experience* Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation* Excellent analytical and technical skillsWith a focus on the below:* Experience with Azure infrastructure such as Account structures e.g. (subscription, tenant), Azure Active Directory, Azure Active Directory Domain Services, Service Principles, RBAC, IAM.* Azure Arm Template scripting and management through Azure DevOps* Express route configuration and management* Ability to take a flexible approach to design with limited defined as is architecture and NFRs* Ability to ensure architecture designs follow internal standards* Ability to understand complex requirements for application migration to the cloud utilising cloud native technologies.* Azure Arm Template scripting and management through Azure DevOps* Express route configuration and management* Strong Windows server background on both physical and virtual (VMware) infrastructure* Experienced server migration elements to both on-premise and off-premise* Hyper-V experience and design* Migration of applications and services into cloud environment (Azure or vender SaaS platforms)* Ability to understand complex requirements for application migration to the cloud utilising cloud native technologies
