Job Description

About the role:We are the internal recruitment partner for our client, an established and successful organisation working in an innovative and dynamic sector dealing with electronic devices.Based in Somersham; they are now looking to expand their team and have a brand new and exciting opportunity for an Internal Sales Support Engineer fluent in English and Mandarin to join their dedicated and professional team,As the Internal Sales Support Engineer you will be at the forefront of the team, sourcing and identifying potential clients in China, promoting the exciting product line.Ideally you will have a strong background in technical sales support, you will have excellent communication skills and a high level of accuracy. Commercially aware, you will be able to translate business documents from Mandarin into English with absoluteaccuracy.This is a great opportunity to work in an innovative, exciting organisation working on projects that are dynamic, innovative and world changing!As the Internal Sales Support Engineer, you will work closely with the Marketing, Commercial and Product teams. You will be a dynamic, self starter with the ability to manage projects, work in collaboration with others, focusing on achievingobjectives.Successful candidates will ideally have previous experience in a similar role, have a proven ability to translate English to Mandarin and Mandarin to English and a genuine interest in being part of something so exciting.RequirementsWho we are looking for:To be successful for this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in translating Mandarin to English/English to Mandarin is essential.
  • Experience in fielding initial calls with customers, prospects and partners in both languages.
  • Experience in working to targets for sales quotas and working with a wider sales team
  • Experience in successful project management and contract negotiation
  • Experience of use of a CRM, preferably Microsoft Dynamics
  • Experience of problem solving in a commercial environment, delivering solutions in pressurised and sensitive scenarios.
  • Comfortable operating in a highly flexible working environment, enthusiastic about fluid working practices with a proven ability to handle and progress multiple projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Native or fluent Mandarin speaker is essential to this role.
  • Knowledge, and ideally experience of, working withing the worldwide electronic device industry.
  • Strong analytical skills including financial understanding of commercial operations
  • Extremely strong interpersonal skills; outgoing and confident in working closely with people, internally and externally to the business.
  • Exceptional team player with the ability to confidently pitch ideas, products, and concepts, irrespective of audience level, whilst maintaining target message.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and schedule, organise and prioritise your own workload.
  • Ability to reflect and learn from mistakes with a drive to achieve ultimate performance.
  • Knowledge of the concept of two-dimensional materials would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Exposure to materials production techniques, epitaxial or otherwise would be an advantage but not essential.
