The Transactional Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable function. A strong technical knowledge from previous studies and experience is a must to ensure support of the Stock AP function. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Compilation of monthly reports as required by the business with detailed analysis and appropriate commentary to be shared with the board; - To be a key finance business partner within the business to ensure accurate forecasting, reporting and identification of risks and opportunities; - Challenge the status quo and look at ways to do less better; - AR and AP management, ensuring proper and appropriate controls are in place and that remain fit for purpose as the business develops; - Manage the business supplier payments process, reviewing payment instructions to ensure compliance with policies; - Manage company corporate card and expense claims processes to ensure completed in a timely and accurate manners, adhere to the company policy, and controls remain fit for purpose; - Manage the delivery and development of training literature and presentations for new starters to the business on the Purchase Order, Corporate Card and expense processes; - Finance lead on the annual external audit, ensuring timelines, requirements and procedures are met, along with maintain detailed and clear communication with Company Auditors; - Posting of year-end audit journals, including reconciliation of corporation tax control account, deferred tax and reserves; - Support with the preparation of statutory accounts for the Company; - Contribute to the development of financial policies, processes and working instructions, providing guidance on where areas can be improved and alternatives solutions; - Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting practices (including FRS102 and international local GAAP as required)- Maintain a high standard of work which complies with all regulatory legislation; - Be comfortable being subject to and maintaining confidentially on sensitive matters; Management and Support: - Line management and mentoring of AP supervisor and Stock AP team - Create an environment which nurtures development in the team and challenges how things are done - Provide guidance and support to the wider finance function In return you will be able to work on a hybrid basis with 3 days in the Solihull office.
