Job Description

Technical Coordinator Housebuilding- West Midlands- 40-50k plus package doeMacildowie are happy to be partnering with one of the Midlands most respected and established bespoke housebuilders. Enjoying an excellent period of growth and expansion, they are looking to add a Technical Coordinator to the team.This really is a fantastic opportunity to work for a quality house builder delivering a high end product and join an experienced team. The role will be office and site based with some agile working.My client has put a massive emphasis on work life balance and job satisfaction which makes this role even more attractive and one not to miss.As the Technical Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating key information, engineering and working drawing packages to enable any given residential development to be built as intended and to obtain all necessary technical approvals.Its essential you have a technical, engineering or architectural background preferably with a degree or HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant building related subject.Some of the responsibilities you will undertake will include-

  • Co-ordinate delivery of surveys required for the development and manage associated requirements from design to completion.
  • Co-ordinate consultants to deliver the civil engineering designs including legal plans.
  • Assist in undertaking value engineering assessments and ensure buildability.
  • Co-ordinate submission of designs and securing technical approvals for agreements such as S104, S38 and S278.
  • Following technical approval being granted, managing timely completion of legal agreements.
  • Co-ordinate utility designs and initial mains laying onto site, ensuring legal agreements completed in timely manner.
  • Co-ordinate consultants to deliver the house type working drawing packs and liaise with key suppliers to provide ancillary drawing information for tender, construction and sales packs.
