Job Description

This is a Special Needs Teacher role for a teacher with experience of teaching young people with Autism and SEMH Needs.Primary teacher or Secondary teacher candidates with SEN experience considered. Children working at KS1/2 level but display emotions & behaviours of teenagers.If you think you could do this & are up for a new challenge then please read on!

  • Special Needs Teacher.
  • Start ASAP, full time until at least Summer.
  • Potentail to turn permanent for the right person.
  • Hours are 8:30am - 3:30pm.
  • Special Needs secondary school south Manchester for young people with Autism & other Complex Needs.
  • Children are aged 11-16 but working at primary levels.
  • Pupils have a range of needs including Autism & other Complex Needs involving sensory, communcation, physical, emotional, social & cognitive difficulties.
  • Highly skilled & supportive team.
  • Rated outstanding by Ofsted.
  • Easily accessible by car, bus or metrolink.
  • Fantastic facilties.
To join us and be successful in this Special Needs Teacher role, you will need to:
  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one), Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks.
  • Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
