Job Title: Service Workshop Engineer / Mechanical FitterHours: 39.5 hours (MondayThursday 8.004.30, Friday 8.004.00)Contract: Permanent, Full-timeDepartment: Service Bays (factory based)Salary: Once fully skilled £34,400 per annum. <u>Job Description </u>Your responsibilities will be:
  • Servicing both Whale and Non-Whale vehicles
  • Repairs to both Whale and Non-Whale vehicles
  • Carrying out welding repairs
  • Completion of paperwork in a timely manner
  • Identify opportunities for additional work and reporting this
  • Maintaining a clean, organized and productive work area
  • Adhere, and work, to Health and Safety regulations
<u>Job Requirements</u>Essential
  • A background in welding is desirable
  • Ability to drive is essential
  • The ability to manage your own time
  • Knowledge and experience working with commercial vehicles, plant machinery / HGV vehicles
  • Be of a practical and decisive nature with the ability to use common sense when reviewing issues
  • Have the desire to learn on a daily basis
  • Be a good problem solver with the ability to see an issue to its end
  • The ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
Desirable
  • An engineering background including knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and electric circuits
