Job Description

A fantastic opportunity within a market leading corporate business with offices based South of Birmingham. Our client is looking for someone to come in make the role their own. They are an organisation with turnover in excess of £700million and with Head Offices based in Birmingham, so alot of opportunity within Finance to move up and progress your career within the organisation.The RoleYou will be responsible for allocated areas of margin and operational controls costs, in making month end postings, providing analysis to management account team managers on key cost drivers in their areas by communicating with the wider business on a monthly basis.Gather a detailed understanding on allocated areas of expected spend and validation and make sure it is inline with budget expectations.

Provide timely and accurate variance analysis

Where there is variance against budget reach out to the business to understand progress of cost initiatives

Responsible for making allocations of the allocated areas in operational costs and margin into branches across the business accurately

Being the go to contact for the operational controllers across the UK

Accurate completion of allocated balance sheet reconciliations

Challenge the business to maintain the integrity of the financial ledger

Identify accruals and prepayments

Maintain the integrity of the General Ledger, whilst ensuring compliance in accordance with UKGAAP

What youll need

You will be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or studying towards completion 1 or 2 papers left to complete

Experience in working in a dynamic and ever changing environment

Strong excel and reporting skills
