Job Title: HR Apprentice AdvisorLocation:Serco, 31 Homer Road, Solihull, West Midlands, B91 3LTWorking Week:37.5 hours per week, MondayFriday, 09:0017:30Salary:Up to £16,000 per annum plus benefits & 25 days annual leaveApprenticeship Qualification:L3 Business Administrator StandardExpected Apprenticeship Duration:18months minimumSerco has a strong commitment to apprentices and training and as a successful Serco apprentice, you will be provided with unparalleled support throughout the duration of your programme. You will develop the skills you need for the job by working alongsideyour colleagues and getting hands on experience.Youll be providing a proactive first line HR helpdesk support for online, telephone, email and web customer queries within our HR Shared Service Centre with a first touch resolution mind-set. You will take a high volume of incoming calls in a busy fastpaced environment so will need the ability to capture, track all requests & advise provided in our internal case management tool.As part of the apprenticeship scheme well provide you with L3 Business Administration and L2 Functional English and Maths training (all delivered on site at Serco). Youll also have access to a treasure trove of development opportunities and enjoy the fulltraining, support and encouragement of our super-friendly team. Once youve completed your apprenticeship, youll have the opportunity to progress your career into the world of HR.About youTo be successful in this role you will need to be organised, able to plan and prioritise and be a real problem solver! So as well as excellent IT skills youll be someone who is thorough and organised in your working approach and be comfortable in dealingwith multiple tasks at once.The role requires a pro-active, well-organised and confident individual with a methodical approach to problem solving along with excellent customer service skills. Your ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbally) as well as being a committedteam player is vital in keeping your internal customers happy.We use a variety of online tools and technology, so youll be happy working with MS Office Suite and can easily turn your hand to online systems and tools. Lastly, youll need to have between an A* and E in Maths and English (or 9 to 2 under the new gradingsystem) and have a strong interest in Human Resources.What else do you need to know
