Job Description

SPR are proud to be working with a public sector client to recruit for a BusinessSupport Programme Coordinator based in the Solihull area. This role has a flexible working arrangement, with a hybrid schedule including 1-2 days a week in office.Working Instructions: Pay Rate: £18.53 - £21.47p/h DOE Hours: Full Time, Temporary. 9am – 4pm (core hours)Location: Solihull (1-2 days a week)Essential and Desirable Requirements:

  • Demonstratable Business Support experience
  • A relevant degree (or equivalent)
  • Managing of external funding experience (such as ERDF)
  • Experience and knowledge of supporting local businesses - ideally in a public sector role.
  • Contract management and financial reporting experience
  • Computer literate and able to analyse, interpret and present complex information and understand and interpret statistical presentation of data.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally to achieve UKSPF programme objectives.
  • Work closely with the client partners to ensure effective and efficient implementation of individual projects and elements of the programme as well as the programme as whole.
  • Directly assist with the delivery of UKSPF business support outputs, including grant supports and a range of commissioned specialist programmes.
  • To co-ordinate and support relevant business events
  • To collate and produce monitoring and evaluation reports for review in line with UKSPF programme requirements, organise and attend meetings and assist with determination of project requirements.
  • Coordinate resources in line with project plans to meet project requirements.
  • Maintain an up to date register of all commissions, partner agreements, service level agreements and contract changes/variations.
  • Prepare programme organisation and communication charts.
  • Track the progress and quality of work being undertaken by appointed delivery partners.
  • Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, budgets and expenditure.
  • Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to key stakeholders and to project partners.
  • Keep the Group Manager – Economic Growth and others informed about project status and issues that may impact internal and external relations.
  • Review and report on performance, trends, customer needs and feedback to inform and improve delivery.
  • To monitor project, spend against budget allocation and report to the Group Manager – Economic Growth any identified or potential budget issues.
  • To quality assure all draft reports from delivery partners and consultants.
  • Any other appropriate duties as and when required.
