Job Description

Java / Kotlin Developer £75,000 - £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits Java / Kotlin Developer - Were looking for a Java Developer intested in using Kotlin to join a multinational and highly prestigious social dating site to rebuild a brand-new overhaul of its entire backend system. As a Java Developer here you will drive technical changes redefining the existing outdated system into brand new Java 11 and Kotlin microservices, whilst making sure its millions of worldwide daily users continue to have the best experience, helping them find love.Were looking for a Java / Kotlin Developer with the following:

  • Experience in developing Java 8+ microservices within Docker containers. Any Kotlin development experience is a plus, you must have a willingness to learn this moving forward.
  • Experience in breaking down monolithic architectures dealing with large amounts of Data using tools like Kafka, Prometheus or Kubernetes.
  • A good understanding of concurrency, latency and building highly scalable and distributed real time systems that are scaled onto AWS.
  • A "product first" Developer who is a self thinker, autonomous in the way they work and creative in solving problems.
    • As the Java / Kotlin Developer, you will be part of a small, Agile team in a position with wide responsibility.
