We are recruiting for the position of transport planner for our client based out of Snetterton, Norfolk (NR16). This position is with one of Norfolk’s major logistics companies, offering U.K wide flexible transport and warehousing solutions. Working within the planning team, this is a chance to further your career in a fast paced professional logistics environment.The Role• To schedule and plan day to day customer deliveries• To work with existing customers through telephone & digital comms. to meet and exceed customer expectations.• Companies haulage operation is used both in a commercially viable and environmentally sustainable way.• Ensuring computer and administration systems are current and up to date• Excellent driver to operations communications for day-to-day delivery/collection, hours regulations and support.• Compliance with all Legal and Regulatory bodies to offer a safe and complaint operation.• Good geographical knowledge.The Ideal Candidate• Must have 1 years + HGV office transport planning experience.• Self-motivated, adaptable and professional attitude with an eye for commercially viable decisions and actions.• Excellent communicator both for client engagement and colleague working relationships.• Understanding of HGV driver hours regulations, tachograph rules and working time directives.• Confident IT skills, Exel/Word and in house software • Ability to multi-task in a time efficient and professional manner.• Team player, who gets involved with the day-to-day operational challenges for desired end results.• Full training and support given.Benefits• 28 Days Holidays (inc. bank holidays)• Sick Pay• On-site parking availableHours• Mon to Fri, 45hrs per week
