Job Description

Job Title: Supported Living Care ManagerOur client are a fast growing company who have secured long term contracts with many Local Authorities and are looking to appoint an experienced Supported Living Services Manager during an exciting phase of continued expansion. Their organisation works to support young people towards independent living. The role requires you to work in a semi-independent residential setting where young people share accommodation. The aim is to provide a secure environment that will enable the young people to develop the skills required to live independently, whilst delivering the highest levels of person centred care and support.We are looking for a manager with previous experience of working with young people, ideally with experience of providing a Psychologically Informed Environment for young people that have suffered Trauma.Working as a Supported Living Manager you will be responsible for creating a safe and caring environment - ensuring the highest quality of care and support. You will lead and work with a team to provide operational and strategic direction, setting clearly defined work objectives, efficiently and effectively for both yourself and others and ensuring these are successfully achieved against agreed timelines and directives.Salary and Benefits

  • -£30,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent upon experience)

  • Key Features of the role: - Support the company director with the operational management of two, small, independent supported living services- Carry out risk assessments for residents- Develop and manage individual support plans for service users- To ensure the effective safeguarding and well being of service users- Attend meeting with stakeholders i.e. Social Services, Safeguarding teams, Commissioners, Police etc- Evaluate and risk assess new placements to ensure environment is conducive to their needs- Ensuring effective leadership and management of operational staff in order to deliver highest levels of person centred care- Organising staff and scheduling staff rotas to ensure optimal levels of staffing at all times- Supporting service users with daily living skills and helping them progress towards indepdendent livingThe following qualification, skills and experience are required for this role:
  • Recent experience working either as a Supported Living Manager or even a Supported Living Deputy Manager in a Supported Living service who may be looking to elevate their position.
  • Experience of working with young adults and dealing with challenging behaviour
  • Level 4/5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
  • Level 3 Diploma for Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
  • Confident, flexible and efficient, you’re happy to work on a shift basis if required, to be on call if required
  • Working with management team to continually improve policies and procedures and relevant H&S Regulations
  • A confident decision maker, with the ability to critically analyse situations and make balanced decisions
  • Competence in the use of Microsoft Office and Internet applications
  • Strong English spoken, listening, writing, communication
  • Experience with registering with Ofsted (Desired)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
