Job Description

If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.As a social worker within our Assessment & Intervention Service, what we call the front door, you will be responsible for undertaking social work on allocated cases and producing outcome-based plans that reflect the needs of and risks to children and theirfamilies. You will develop effective relationships with children, young people and their families to improve the impact of work and determine the level of service available.We are looking for candidates whose CVs reflect but are not limited to the following experience/knowledge:Completing assessments of the needs of children and their familiesKnowledge and ability of multiagency workingAbility to explore and assess riskDrawing up plans of intervention in the lives of children and their familiesKnowledge of family network meetings/family group conferences to draw up family support planKnowledge of the Children’s Act; particularly sections 17 and 47Presenting cases in multiagency meetings/settingsWriting professional reportsAbility to work collaboratively with familiesCourt work experience is an added advantageAbility to effectively communicate with children and actively involve them in the assessment of their needsDo you have a Social Work qualification and are registered with Social Worker EnglandWould you like a dedicated professional to support you in your next social care moveIf the answer is yes, we’d really like to talk to you.Please contact Lowrie Roberts on email for more information.
