Job Description

The roleAs Royal Mails recruitment partners, you will be working closely with recruitment and screening teams to supply aviation security vetted casuals to work onsite at the clients aviation hubs.Based at Royal Mails Langley site, you will be involved in recruitment, screening and onboarding activities.Working in accordance with processes and procedures established by Reed, Royal Mail and CAA, you will ensure that all the administration, phone and data management tasks associated with the effective management of candidate pre-screening are completed to theestablished standard, including:

  • UK law
  • Reed requirements
  • Compliance levels as dictated by the client
You will be given full training required to undertake this role successfully.
  • Salary:£24,000
  • Type:6 Month Fixed term contact
  • Hours:37.5hrs (between 8-5:50pm)
  • Location:Royal Mail HWDC (Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre),SL3 8AQ
Key accountabilitiesYour role will involve but is not limited to the following:Pre-screening Checks:
  • Ensure that information is correct and present for a pack to enter screening stage
  • Complete and review industry specific checks i.e., identity checks, Rights to work
  • Ensure documentation is present and correct to pass all quality checks
  • To check detailed information such as work history to ensure discrepancies are identified and explained
  • Respond to queries from hiring managers and candidates about the pre-employment vetting process
  • Contact candidates via phone and email to investigation information that is highlighted throughout the pre-employment vetting process
Chase References:
  • Chase and successfully obtain references via the telephone, for candidates that are being placed into clients of Reed.
Reference checks:
  • Ensure that information that comes back from the referee / candidate is correct and present
  • To check detailed information such as work history to ensure discrepancies are identified and explained
  • Ensure documentation is present and correct to pass to an internal audit team
Process management:
  • Ensure all company processes, protocols and procedures are adhered to
Continual Improvement and Development:
  • Provide front line assistance in all administrative tasks to ensure the smooth progression of candidate pack through Reed Screening
  • Support the Reed Screening management team in implementing any changes or updates to compliance or process requirements
  • Liaise with IT Support teams to resolve systems issues
Onboarding:
  • Support with induction of workers
KPIs:
  • Accuracy of checks
  • Packs completed
  • Checks completed
  • Relationship with key stakeholders
  • Adherence to Reed and client values
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties but gives an indication of the work that must be undertaken as part of this role.Skills & experienceExperience:
  • Experience of working in an administration and process driven environment
  • Experience of working within a telephone/customer service-based position
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Proficient in the use of a range of computer packages such as MS Excel, MS Word, and databases
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to develop effective working relationships across all levels of an organisation
