Job Description

About The RoleMorrison Energy Services arerecruiting for aSchedulerto work on ourLondon CMOcontract inLondon.As a Scheduleryou will be part of ourLondon Medium Pressure Strategy (LMPS) teamwho are responsiblefor the planning anddelivery of the medium pressure gas main network on behalf of Cadent Gas’s Flagship Replacement project. The works are undertaken inHigh-profile locations within Central London. Theprojectis programmed for completion over five-years and comprises the replacement of 12.8 km of ageing medium pressure gas main network (Year 3 of GD2 started in April 2023).As theScheduleryour responsibilities will include:

  • To prepare programmes of work for each Highway Authority / Stakeholder and attend co ordination meetings as required
  • Attend weekly planning meetings and other meetings as required
  • To support Programme and Project Manager to deliver the baseline programme for the Medium Pressure Gas mains enabling, replacement and governor works.
  • To schedule work into an agreed programme and apply for all relevant permissions, traffic orders, traffic management plans etc
  • To assist in the effective and cost-efficient sequencing of the works in liaison with the Programme & Project Manager and operational delivery team.
  • Attend stakeholder project presentation meetings and take notes when required, deputise to chair meetings in absence of Programme and Project Managers
  • Support safety stand down days and contribute to presentation material where required
  • Assist in requesting e-packs ahead of works phases commencement
  • Undertake Administrative duties where required
  • Undertake administration of MS teams room (projects, attachments, financial reporting, contact lists)
  • Assist with the creation of daily / weekly team / project whereabouts and collate details
  • Monitor NRSWA notices / permits and escalate accordingly to ensure noticing compliance and avoid S74 over runs
  • Responsible for ensuring data accuracy within Primavera or Microsoft Project
  • To provide accurate timely reports as and when required
  • External and Internal communication processes with all relevant stakeholders (e.g. Local authorities, SHEQ, Cadent, Operational Delivery Team).
  • Support the Stakeholder Engagement service provider to assist with advanced notification lettering requirements and enquiries from commercial and residential stakeholders (facilitate and attend engagement and drop in events where required)
  • Assist the Programme and Project Manager in resource planning
Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
  • Experience in programme planning and management
  • Able to demonstrate experience of programme/project planning tools and techniques
  • Good Organisation, Planning Skills, Time Management and Prioritisation
  • Thorough knowledge of Primavera version 6 or Microsoft Project is desirable
  • Good communication skills are required and the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently alone and as part of a team
  • Meticulous approach to ensuring accuracy of data
  • Demonstrate a general understanding of utility networks (Gas, Water, Telecommunications) is desirable
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Relevant HNC level Qualification is desirable
  • Experience in Utility Contracting or Local Authority is desirable
  • Understanding of the London Permit Scheme (LOPS) is desirable
  • Understanding of the TMA (Traffic Management Act) 2004 is desirable
  • Understanding of the NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act) 1991 is desirable
  • NRSWA Unit 2 and/or 10 is desirable
  • Understanding of the SROH (Specification for the Reinstatement of Openings in Highways) is desirable
  • Full UK Driving Licence
