Job Description

Quality Inspector - leading to become the Quality ManagerTo; 37.5k DOEJob type Full-timePermanent8 hour shiftDay shift; Monday to FridayOur client is an independent Precision Engineering business currently going through an exciting period of growth, with dedicated staff. Areas of manufacturing include Aerospace, Motorsport, Marine, Military, Medical, and Oil & Gas.With ISO9001:2015 accreditation and significant investment in machine tools they are exceptionally well placed to support both low and high-volume requirements.Chief Quality Assurance Inspector & Quality Manager ·Role Purpose of the Quality Assurance Inspector - Quality ManagerCarry out inspection of varied precision machined parts using many types of equipment. Performing and delegating with first off, patrol checking and final inspections duties. Completing FAIR and critical dimension reporting.Must be conversant in first principles inspection methods. Taking lead on the quality management within the company and its ISO9001:2015 policies.Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Inspector - Quality ManagerInspect and validate manufactured parts · Perform roaming inspection checks · Proficient with inspection equipment and tools including CMM, optical scope and micrometers/gauges · Complete FAIRs and in process first off and final inspections · Communicatewith customers Quality Departments by phone and email · Maintaining the calibration system · Input into Contract Review process · Attend Quarterly Management Review · Quality Management daily activities.Minimum of 5 years as a Mechanical Quality Inspector or equivalent experience. · Self-starter, strong work ethic · Excellent time management skills · Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and manage in a fast-paced environment. · Familiarity withvarious Inspection methods, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) · Proficient in the use of personal computers, blueprint reading, geometric tolerances, and application of SPC to the manufacturing process. · Strong resilience and tenacity - willingness to challengeothers · Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving · Conversant in 1st principles inspection methods · Audit experience or willingness to be taught *Desirable Qualification & skills required for this position* · Working knowledge of applicablemanufacturing and Quality requirements including ISO 9001 · Certified ISO Auditor *Other information* *Opportunities for progression: *Excellent opportunity to for career advancement as the business expandsIf you think you have the skills necessary to be a success in this Quality Manager role, please click apply.For any additional information get in touchSyntech Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
