Job Description

Outstanding opportunity for an experience QA individual whom has worked in labs and production facilities, to join and also manage a team of individuals. To problem solve, have autonomy and learn from the QESH Manager.Client DetailsWell known ingredients manufacturing company based in Slough, going through a period of growth and therefore in need of someone to assist with the lab and QA side of the production facility.DescriptionThe key responsibilities of the QA Supervisor are:

  • Management of 2 Specification Technologists
  • Carry out monthly traceability audits
  • Carry out Internal audits for glass, sharps, GMP and QMS Knowledge of ISO, BRC, Organic, Halal & Kosher audits. Carry out review of procedures to ensure compliance with current or future standards.
  • Creation, implementation and periodic review of COSHH risk assessments for all materials used on site.
  • Review supplier certification for packaging and raw material
  • Provide additional support during busy production periods (in lab and processing departments)
  • Train new factory floor staff in respect of HACCP and traceability
  • Point contact for the generation of certificates of analysis for customers.
  • To verify compliance with customer COP, BRC Global Standards and legal requirements as per schedule.
  • To carry out full investigation on customer complaints as agreed / applicable to area of responsibility.
  • To manage all sampling and testing schedules as agreed by Quality Manager
  • To maintain factory paperwork, and to ensure latest version are available at all times.
  • Effective administration and management of raw materials specifications. Carrying out raw material verification checks to ensure products are delivered within the right specification.
  • Carrying factory laboratory technicians functions in ensuring products are produces, inverted or blended according to the required formulation. Full training will be provided.
  • Managing hygiene and technical consumable stock
  • ProfileThe ideal QA Supervisor will:
  • Have a BSc or MSc in Food Science or a related degree
  • HACCP Level 3 certified
  • Clear understanding of BRC and ISO standards which are applicable
  • Internal Auditing experience and clear understanding of GMP and COPs
  • Organisational, people and planning skills
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Demonstrable problem-solving ability
