Job Description

Our client is a global biotechnology business and a leader in its field will be commencing a significant divisional digital programme early in 2021 that will transform how technology supports this part of the organisation. Accordingly, there is a requirement for an experienced IS professional with experience of leading large-scale programmes in complex environments on an initial six month contract.Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure robust and realistic programme time lines, quality plans, and risk plans are prepared and maintained for the programme.
  • Maintain effective governance and oversight of financial and programme progress forecasting and reporting. Establish the appropriate governance protocols, structured to ensure that robust decision making takes place.
  • Assure programme controls are in place to manage the programme scope, budget, timescales, resources, risks / issues and quality. Manage interdependencies, resource constraints and mitigation of risks and issues.
  • Ensure that each programme workstream aligns with the client’s delivery framework and that all required documentation is produced, control gates are passed and necessary approvals are in place.
  • Work with the business to ensure that the programme benefits are delivered.
    • The successful candidate must possess:
  • Demonstrable experience of the biotech/pharma/life sciences and related sectors including R&D, Manufacturing, Regulation & Compliance, Finance etc
  • Significant programme management experience gained in complex, large-scale environments in a regulated environment.
  • Strong leadership skills and an ability to direct and motivate disparate teams.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Track record of successful delivery to meet strategic business cases and realise benefits.
