Our client is a well-established global service provider to the Freight forwarding, express and international parcels, warehousing, and logistics industry. The network has more than 354 locations across 60 countries and with 13,000 employees serving alliancecustomers and attending to the details of their business round the clock, around the globe.We are now looking for an Air & Sea Freight Imports Manager based at their offices in Slough. The Multi-Modal Imports Manager role is directly involved with all imported goods received into the country of destination. Arranging and managing the transportation cycle by air and ocean and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and legally acceptableto Customs to allow clearance and entry into the country of destination.Your role will involve…* You and the team will handle Air and Sea Import operations* Handling quotations, costing jobs* Inputting Air and Sea freight bookings into the Cargowise system* Negotiating rates and booking with Airlines and Sea Freight companies * Handling Import entries (ICE/Impatex)* Arranging collections & deliveries * Handling escalated customer enquiries and problems solving * Setting KPIs with your team* Handling Profit and loss and monthly financial reports * Visiting customers and attending customer meetings Skills and experience required:* The Import Freight Operations Manager role is directly involved with handling air and sea imports worldwide from the Slough office. * We require an individual who is a competent Import Specialist - knowledge can be in Air, Ocean or both. * You must have a very strong Freight Imports background and previous managerial experience to be considered for this position.Benefits * Salary up to £40,000 per annum per annum based on experience. * Hours - Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm* Pension * This is a full time, permanent position.
