Our client is a well-established global service provider to the Freight forwarding, express and international parcels, warehousing and logistics industry. The network has more than 354 locations across 60 countries and with 13,000 employees serving alliancecustomers and attending to the details of their business round the clock, around the globe.We are now looking for a multi modal freight forwarding Exports Clerk based at our clients global freight forwarding team in Slough You will arrange and manage the transportation cycle by air and ocean and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed to ensure a seamless serviceYour role will involve:* Create and issue Freight quotations for mainly air freight and some sea freight exports* Booking shipments with Airlines/shipping lines * Negotiating rates with airlines * Arranging collections with the transport department or sub-contractors * Prepare, control & distribute all required export documentation to counterparts complying with regulations & internal procedures * Follow up shipment status, identify incidents & ensure resolution of incidents * Handling customer enquiries and maintaining relationships Skills and experience required:* We require an individual who is a competent Export Executive with strong air freight and sea freight exports experience. * You will have previous experience of working for an freight forwarder in an air and sea freight export team. * You must have solid experience in both Air & Sea Exports and be able to hit the ground runningBenefits * Start Date - ASAP* Salary up to £34,000 per annum per annum depending on level of experience * Pension
