Job Description

IT Service Delivery Manager - Remotely BasedA fantastic opportunity for a Service Delivery Manager to work on an IT transformation programme within a FTSE 100 organisation. The programme is moving into the final 6 months and is moving from design and build to global deployment.Key deliverables:

  • Global System Deployment. The system is already live on a Salesforce platform but is only partially deployed. The system now needs activation in remaining regions and business units globally.
  • Release Management. The functionality is not static and we will still have enhancements, fixes, vendor releases and new features to roll out. This needs strong technical leadership to manage the build, test, release cycle in an Agile delivery environment.
  • Service Management. As the programme winds down, system support needs to transition smoothly to a steady state service model. This includes the management of third party vendors
    • You will oversee the effective and efficient running of project IT operations and ensure that the deliverables are in-sync with the rest of the programme – thereby ensuring this workstream is compliant, runs to a high standard consistently and is delivered both on time and on budget. You will need to work well in a fast-paced environment alongside global and cross-functional teams of stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.Essentials
  • 10 years+ senior project management experience, implementing enterprise system changes
  • Demonstrated technical experience of managing software releases within an Agile and waterfall delivery framework
  • Track record in global systems deployment within a top tier corporation
  • Exceptional technical competence to deliver a complex backlog and release schedule
  • Excellent leadership and organisation skills to lead a multi-disciplined technical team combining internal and vendor resources
  • Ability to manage and influence a range of senior IT and business stakeholders through a major system change.
  • Up to date knowledge on a range of technical issues and trends
  • Ability to design and implement effective models for service transition and support.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with ability to quickly form relationships, co-ordinate different skill sets, and navigate through areas of dispute or ambiguity
  • Knowledge of Salesforce development
  • Working knowledge of validated systems
  • Agile certification
