Job Description

Finance ManagerSlough, Berkshire£55,000 + bonus + bensBased in Slough, Berkshire, our client, a dynamic division of a growing and innovative multinational business, are looking for a Finance Manager to provide support and leadership to their UK entity.This company has a superb track record of growth and innovation in an expanding market, with new a varied products across their portfolio. They are renowned for investing in their staff and providing excellent training, development and career progression.Reporting to the Financial Controller the Finance Manager you will take responsibility for the day to day accounting within the UK business, managing a small team while providing support to the wider business.Duties will include:

  • Ownership of periodic reporting for the UK entity
  • Responsibility for balance sheet reconciliation and review
  • Business Partnering across all levels and functions of the organisation, supporting internal stakeholders
  • Supporting Sales and Ops teams to improve internal processes and the reporting
  • Responsibility for intercompany reporting and cross-charges
  • Responsibility for VAT returns
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with wider Group policies
  • Assisting with the annual external audit
  • Managing and developing the payables function
The Ideal candidate for the Finance Manager:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience of all aspects of the financial management ideally gained in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong IT Skills with developed Excel and an interest in systems and systems implementation
  • Strong leadership and time management skills
  • Proactive team worker, self-starter, able to work well on their own without supervision on both strategic and operational tasks.
  • Excellent verbal, communication and influencing skills across a range of environments.
  • Excellent planning and coordination skills
  • A track record of partnering within an organisation to create efficient effective working practice supporting multiple stakeholders
