Deputy Site ManagerOur client is looking for a Deputy Site Manager to join their team. Within this role you will be responsible for ensuring that the site buildings/grounds are maintained to an excellent standard being clean, safe and secure.Responsibilities:Assisting the Site Manager in ensuring the maintenance of all site buildings, grounds and utilities, operating an agreed programme of planned preventative maintenance and making sure that any repairs are properly and promptly carried outKeeping all site buildings and grounds secure, reporting breaches of security and ensuring that any resultant damage is repaired or fault rectified properly and promptlyUndertake minor repairs and maintenance tasks which are within the post holder’s competence Arrange and overseeing any alterations, redecoration, building and maintenance works and specialised repair work and report back to Site ManagerReplace fluorescent tubes, starters, diffusers, light bulbs and shadesAct as a key-holder and controlling site keys, routine and non-routine openingLiaise with security officer and undertake Security Guard duties at the front gate as and when required Report as appropriate any breaches of security and ensuring that any resultant damage is remedied properly and promptlyLock and unlock internal and external doors as required, activating, de-activating and testing automated alarm and bell systemsPersonally, undertaking agreed cleaning tasks as directedEnsure a litter free environment, picking up litter on a daily basisArrange for emergency cleaning and removal of graffitiUndertake/arrange for the safe storing and moving of items of furniture, equipment and provisions as required, including setting up of chairs for assemblies and desks and chairs for examinations alongside site teamMaintain stocks of materials, protective clothing and equipment as requiredPlace orders for materials required by the site team as agreed and certify goods receivedEnsure that safety hazards are removedEnsure that fire exits are accessible and that firefighting equipment is correctly positioned and servicedEnsure that first aid equipment and supplies are correctly maintained and readily availableKeep the Health and Safety file updated whenever maintenance or refurbishment take placeAssist in annual testing of electrical equipment in the schools is undertakenHours of work: 06.30am to 15.30pm Monday to Thursday with an early finish on Friday at midday.Please note:As you can appreciate we are currently overwhelmed with applications of individuals looking for both short term and permanent work and we can therefore only contact those applications that have relevant skills for positions that we currently have available.
