Orka Financial is working with a widely recognisable, global consumer goods business based in Slough (hybrid) to recruit a varied Assistant Financial Accountant role to join their high performing finance team. This is the perfect role for an aspiring accountant,someone who is already studying or keen to start studying towards their accounting qualification. It is a broad role in a global business offering full study support and the perfect environment to gain the exposure needed during your exams.Responsibilities:- To assist the Financial Accountant with Month End tasks to ensure that all local and key corporate monthly financial reporting deadlines are met.- To assist with the production of timely, accurate and complete financial information for the purposes of the annual budget process.- To prepare balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis and to ensure that any outstanding items are cleared in an accurate and timely manner and to co-ordinate the reconciliations folder for monthly sign off by the Finance Manager.- To assist with stock audits at various third party and company locations, ensuring accuracy of GL accounts.- To review and post the standard monthly journals ensuring their relevancy and accuracy.- Maintain the Fixed Assets Register of the company including IFRS16 contract maintenance.- To prepare and report on the daily cashflow forecast.- Responsible for all intercompany rechargesProfile:• Actively studying towards a suitable Accounting Qualification (AAT, CIMA, ACA, ACCA)• Intermediate Excel skills• Experience working to strict deadlines• Experience of working in an accounting environment• Understanding of internal accounting systems• Experienced in Microsoft Office• Attention to detail and good problem solving skills• Good written and verbal communication skills• Has a can do’ attitude and is a good team player• Has the ability to act on own initiativeSalary:£30,000 - £35,000 + study support + benefits
