Job SummaryI am currently working with an award-winning engineering consultancy, with a reputation for solving noise and vibration problems. To achieve this, they only employ well qualified consultants and provide them with the best equipment. All candidates must beself-motivated, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work both as part of a team and individually.As an Acoustic Consultant, you can work from home, but will also be expected to work from the office in Slough some of the time, and the job will also require travel to and working at clients premises, mainly in the UK but possibly overseas for short periods.Our standard working hours are 09:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday with one hour for lunch, but these will be flexible to fit in with visits to clients premises.Responsibilities and DutiesYour duties will include noise and vibration measurements, data acquisition, processing and analysis, calculation, specialist acoustic modelling, reporting, maintenance and calibration of equipment, and client liaison. You will initially be mentored by aSenior Consultant, but will be expected to be able to work independently as you gain experience.Qualifications and SkillsAn Acoustic Consultant will usually have a degree in Acoustics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or other similar technical science subject or equivalent, and have at least two years work experience in the acoustics sector.An Acoustic Consultant will have knowledge and understanding of:
