We are currently recruiting for a Social Worker to join the Adults Safeguarding team in the area of Kirklees. This is a full time position for 37 hours per week (Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 17:00, Friday 08:30 - 16:30) for an initial period of 3 months. This role will include responsibilities for the holistic assessment ofindividuals and their carers needs, arranging and/or delivering services to meetthese needs and reassessing needs as appropriate. The jobholder will beresponsible for the day to day management of those cases for which they are thenamed worker. You will intervene with legal and procedural authority to protect vulnerable people at risk of abuse or neglect; to help individuals, families and groups to sustain and develop their capacities for independent living and in complex situations to try to prevent or resolve conflict which may place individuals at risk.Experienced Social Workers are required for this team due to the nature and complexity of the work. There will be an expectation that the candidates will have significant experience of Adult Safeguarding and Self Neglect cases.To be considered you must also hold a Social Work degree and Social Work England registration.
