Job Description

TOOLMAKER REQUIREDAn exceptional opportunity is available for a TOOLMAKER. This is a busy manufacturing facility, supplying into a wide range of different industry sectors, but predominantly, into high volume production.Commutable from Birmingham, Worcester, Solihull, Redditch, Studley, Bidford on Avon, Stratford Upon Avon and BromsgroveBENEFITS OF A TOOLMAKER

  • £34,000 - £36,000

DUTIES OF TOOLMAKER
  • Responsibility for manufacture, modification and development of in-house tooling
  • Repair of tooling
  • Development and test of tooling and fixtures
  • Drilling, Grinding, turning and milling
  • Bench work
  • Involvement in Kaizen activities
  • Working from engineering drawings
  • Repairs to Jigs and fixtures
  • Working with the Manufacturing Engineers to develop new tooling and improve existing tooling
  • Prove out new tooling
  • Improvements to existing tooling
REQUIREMENTS OF TOOLMAKER
  • Ideally, you will Apprentice trained
  • Experience of Press tools
  • EDM and CNC would be beneficial
  • Sound knowledge of working with standard toolroom equipment, such as milling, turning, grinding and Benchwork
  • Happy to work shifts - there is a choice
