Job Description

This developing company specialise in the provision of materials handling solutions for many different industries. As well as designing and manufacturing their own automated handling systems, they work alongside leading equipment suppliers to create bespokesolutions for clients with the objective to enhance efficiency, increase production and improve reliability. Now due to internal promotion they require an experienced:Service Manager £45-55k + BenefitsLancashire Ref: 23229Service Manager - The Role:Overseeing all facets of the After Sales Service Office, including personnel and technical resourcesDirect reporting to the MD Managing customer enquiries, generating quotes, order processing, and ensuring on-time deliveryParts managementActive promotion of preventive maintenance service contracts to end usersLeading a team of customer service technicians and support advisorsStrategically organising service activities to optimise efficiency and financial performanceProviding technical support to both customers and engineers in the fieldCultivating courteous and respectful communication with customers and employeesOverseeing invoicing for service and parts, credit control and invoice resolutionCoordinating allocation of engineers for breakdowns and routine service tasksService Manager - The Person:HNC or equivalent in an engineering disciplinePrior exposure to service management roles is advantageousDemonstrable commercial acumen Effective people management skills, including team evaluationsProficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based programsExceptional organisational and time management capabilitiesOutstanding dedication to customer service excellenceCollaborative mindset with a proven aptitude for teamworkA multi-skilled engineering backgroundProficient in interpreting Engineering DrawingsLocated in the North West, role is commutable from Wigan, Lancashire, Manchester, Warrington & LiverpoolBy applying for this role, you are consenting for us to hold and process your data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations.
