Residential Childcare Worker - £26,350 Per Annum - Full Time / PermanentWe are currently recruiting for Residential Childcare Workers who are looking for a rewarding career as part of a well-established team supporting children who are aged between 8 and 17, often from vulnerable backgrounds, to improve their day to day lives withina positive and encouraging homely environment.£26,350 Per Annum (paid at £10ph and £46.25 per sleep)Shifts - 10AM - 11PM then your sleep 11PM- 7AM then 7AM - 10AMBenefits: 2 on 4 off shift pattern Fantastic Training can provide you with your level 3 and level 5 in childcare Company Pension Private health care scheme Free gym membership Retail discount card (discount off Apple, Charlotte Tilbury, JD, Starbucks etc.) Sickness bonusDuties: Assist the team in ensuring that each young person has their needs met through effective assessment and care planning. Reviewing and monitoring care plans and contributing to review reports as directed Supporting and participating in young peoples social, life-long learning plans and recreational activities in line with care plans, trips out and holidays. Act as a Key worker where necessary to specified individual young person, taking on responsibility for specified areas of care and support. This includes ensuring all medical needs are met and supporting the young person to advocate his/her own needs andwishes. Ensure all Staff Members work in a way that demonstrates an understanding and commitment to the rights of people with emotional & challenging behaviours and/or learning difficulties. Consistently apply strategies developed in response to challenging behaviours and contribute to the review and development of any such strategies.Requirements: Knowledge of care planning systems would be beneficial Level 3 in Residential Childcare is preferred but not essential 12 months experience working with young people Driving Licence, required to use a company car while on shiftThe above duties and responsibilities do not include or define all tasks that may be required by the post holder.
