Location: SkelmersdaleSalary: £40,000 plus company car and bonus Summary:As a Regional Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing a culture of continuous improvement, driving best in-class activity, safe working practices and operational safety excellence in-line with guidelines and objectives.Your role will involve examining site activities to determine where improvements can be made and ensuring compliance across the logistics organisation, specifically within the warehousing functions. Reporting into the Head of Health & Safety, the successfulcandidate will have a collaborative and supportive approach to team management and will be hands-on when it comes to ensuring the highest levels of safety are achieved. We are looking for someone who is passionate about safety and will take ownership in achievingthis. This is a hybrid role with travel required to various sites. Key Responsibilities:Ensure that all Health & Safety policies and procedures are defined and understood by the team.Lead a culture of safe working practices and continuous improvement in order to achieve the highest standards of safety.Audit sites and communicate areas of improvement to the team, whilst supporting implementation of necessary actions.Ensure that rigorous risk assessments and accident managements systems are in place, updated and applied continuously.Health & Safety Incident management and root cause investigation as required. Key Skills/Experience:At least 5 years professional experience managing safety within a logistics environment.Collaborative and hands-on approach to team management.IOSH Managing Safely qualification essential.NEBOSH desirable.Passionate about safety and achieving the highest standards of this.
