LTA / Reed Education are seeking a MaleP.E Teacher for a welcoming and ambitious Secondary School in the Skelmersdale area. This new Teacher role is a full-time temporary position covering 5 days per week, from 08:30-15:30. This role is starting January 2024 and ongoing for the restof the academic year.The role has the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.Qualified Teacher Status and previous experience/strong knowledge of teaching P.E at KS3/4 is essential for this position.The successful applicant must:• Must have recent relevant experience of teaching P.E at KS3 and KS4• Be an excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills• Be reliable, committed and interested in working with students and demonstrate the qualities of a good role model (qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness and good listening skills)• Have good interpersonal skills; be trustworthy, punctual as well as being patient and confident when working with children.Within this role, your main responsibilities will be:•Preparing, planning, and delivering high standards of lessons to ensure the continuous development of our pupils•Mark and monitor classwork, alongside setting targets for future progress•Establishing and developing strong relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and carers•Have a clear understanding of all the needs of all pupils•Monitoring pupils progress in reference with the school’s practice•Excellent behaviour management skillsIn return we will offer the following services:• Highly competitive rates of pay• Weekly pay, including holiday pay• Reed Discount Club and Pension Scheme• Access to continuous professional development and Safeguarding courses• Support and guidance from your dedicated consultant, specifically focused on Secondary Teaching roles/positions• Offering Ad-hoc, Long Term and Permanent roles within the local area to start immediately.Reed Education are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students and we expect all applicants to share this commitment.
