Job Description

Location: Skelmersdale & Minworth - Travel between sites requiredReporting to: Transport Operations ManagerShifts: Mon – Fri 8am – 4pmDo you want to work for an award winning, successful CompanyCulina Group a well established leader in the logistics market is recruiting for aon a permanent basis to cover our GB Skelmersdale and Minworth depots.The role holder will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Effective construction and delivery of up to date training.
  • Deliver training on how to conduct effective Company accident/ incident investigations including, but not limited to, Company vehicle incident reporting and recording.
  • Deliver effective banksman training, training regarding driver’s hours, changes to legislation and communicate regular updates to the whole department.
  • Use Microlise performance statistics to proactively manage the driver’s performance.
  • Deliver Microlise training ensuring s and all fully competent and complaint.
  • Deliver manual handling and refresher training.
  • Update Great Bear Distribution Drivers’ Manual as and when required.
  • Construct a quarterly newsletter with site TOM.
  • Deliver training regarding SAFED/ Fuel Economy and Defensive Driving.
  • Support the induction process, providing training where required.
  • Regularly review all training programs to ensure that up to date,comprehensive information is being communicated.
  • Ensure the transport department is fully compliant with all training requirements in order to continuously meet legislative requirements and exceed expectations.
  • Maintain up to date training records, ensuring signatures at each training session to confirm attendance.
  • Assist in preparation of records and graphs as required. Be proactive in identifying training needs through analysis and be responsible for its development and implementation.

  • Able to work without direct supervision.
  • Adaptable approach to work/ training.
  • Conscientious and reliable.
  • Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information to trainees.
  • Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
  • Able to prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
  • Computer literate, specifically MS Office – Power Point, Word and Excel.
  • Able to work as part of a team or individually.
  • Able to manage effectively and communicate at all levels.
