Job Description

Business Development Manager (Homebased) Manufacturing, Engineering, CNC ComponentsCompetitive SalaryWe are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support further growth for our client, a well-established British precision component supplier. Specialising in critical, close tolerance and complex components at medium to high volumes,our client has a state-of-the-art production system, operating CNC robotic units, machine tools and handling equipment.Whats in it for you

As Business Development Manager you will be required to:
  • Have a proven track record in sales, across new and existing accounts within relevant sectors.
  • Identify new potential customers, help grow and develop those new relationships.
  • Work with existing customers; building and maintaining relationships whilst identifying new opportunities within to generate new, profitable business opportunities.
  • Establish sales objectives by developing and forecasting annual sales quotas for products and commodities, projecting expected sales volume/profit for products
  • Ensure full cost analysis is met; using internal costings system to cover full life cycle of product including raw materials, packaging, manufacturing process etc.
  • Identify further business development ideas through industry research and networking.
  • Travel throughout the UK (some overseas travel will be necessary).
As Business Development Manager you will ideally have:
  • Experience within a 1st/2nd Tier supplier with IATF16949 quality management system.
  • An engineering background and with an understanding of CNC machining, tools and processes is advantageous.
  • An interest and awareness of market trends, competitors and potential customers.
  • Full UK driving licence.
