Project Surveyor required ASAP based in Sittingbourne for one of our Housing Association clients.This role is on a temporary basis for around 7 months. Candidates would be required to ensure the provision of an efficient asset management service for specific retrofit projects run by the Energy and Environment team. To ensure contracts and works are delivered in a timely and cost effective manner to agreed quality standards, value for money, statutory and regulatory legislation, health & safety compliance, ensuring high levels of customer and client satisfaction.Duties include:Act as contract manager for energy retrofit worksAssist with the production of works specificationsAgree schedule of works for tenderProvide support to contractor where further instruction requiredCertification of cost - ensuring final costs are approved before payment to contractor Carry out post work surveys at properties with measures installed and sign offCandidate knowledge:Must have an excellent understanding of energy efficiency and the measures required to improve properties to EPC Band C (RdSAP 69)Must have a good working knowledge of renewable technologies that will enable the client to move away from a reliance on fossil fuels Should have an understanding of an approach to sustainability and the broader issues relating to the impacts of climate changeMembership of RICS, CIOB or equivalent level experience (desired)Previous building surveying or construction experience delivering a customer focused serviceIndustry recognised fire systems qualifications commensurate with the role and appropriate experience/delivery in respect of the above disciplines.
