Job Description

Premier Recruitment is working on behalf of prestigious client who is looking for dynamic and driven Logistics Specialist needed for market leading company. This is an amazing opportunity to join a growing team and learn and develop many new skills.Main Purpose of Job:

  • To plan and execute the Despatching of Customer Orders from the site.
  • To provide expertise on regulatory, statutory, and mandatory aspects of packaging and labelling of products for multi modal transportation to customers or affiliates.
  • To maintain personal standards to meet Regulatory and Safety commitments (e.g. cGMP, FDA, MCA, HSE).
  • To provide expertise on the importation of Pharmaceutical and Chemical products.
  • To perform import and export duties in compliance with HM Customs and Excise regulatory requirements.
  • To manage day-to-day logistical activities within the Import / Export business arena for the company.
  • To be responsible for input into any opportunities for process development and improvement.
  • To ensure daily communication with relevant departments across the site including Warehousing, Materials Management, Quality and Finance to ensure timely resolution of problems, working with peers, superiors and support functions.
  • To operate within Materials Management procedures and training plans.
  • To communicate transport or shipping issues to the Warehouse Manager and department managers.
  • To support the Warehousing and Materials Management teams by becoming an active member of the teams functions.
Knowledge & Experience:
  • Have knowledge of Class A and GMP methodology.
  • Be computer literate - Microsoft Office applications, Lotus Notes and other specialist systems.
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have operational knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledge of transport of dangerous goods regulations. Mandatory IATA qualification, ADR/IMDG/DGSA qualifications an advantage.
  • Able to perform under pressure in a busy office environment.
  • To be well organised, logical and methodical
