Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Head of Operations to join an extremely reputable, family-run SME based in Sittingbourne, Kent. This business provides quality solutions that empower their global client base. To further facilitate their growth plans, they are looking to recruit a talented dynamic individual to oversee the operation including, SupplyChain, Purchasing, Logistics and Warehouse amongst others. You will assist in several exciting developments such as relocation, new product development and the launch of their US offices.The main purpose of this role is to identify and lead key initiatives, strategies and plans, that will drive the operational functions forward.Key duties and responsibilities.

  • Leading the operations team of New Product Development, Warehouse, Logistics and Supply Chain to deliver to our customer promise
  • Manage Health & Safety on behalf of the Company to promote and enforce safety in the workplace
  • Strategy & Planning across all functions
  • Team Leadership & Management- Motivate and lead the whole team; cultivate skills and facilitate interrelationships between functions
  • Develop and implement plans for an improved and enhanced operational infrastructure of sites, systems, processes, and people required to enable efficiency, creativity and business growth
  • Ensure operations meet the companys requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies, and general duty of care

Requirements
  • Previous experienced as Head of Operations or Operations Director
  • Experience leading businesses through substantial growth in a fast paced B2B environment
  • Extensive experience of leading a team
  • A professional with gravitas who will work closely with the team to develop and accomplish key objectives and deliver against the business strategy
  • Demonstrable experience of driving operational change management to evolve and advance systems and processes
  • Experience with using ERP systems
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent organisational and leadership ability
  • Problem-solving aptitude
Hours: Monday - Friday 7.30am- 16.30pmBenefits
  • Salary between £72,000 - £85,000 per annum DOE
