Job Description

About the roleWe have an excellent opportunity at our Paper Mill in Kemsley for an Assistant Planning & Distribution Manager to join the team. Youll be working in a team of 7 to control vital processes on site, from manufacture of our products through to dispatch tocustomers, liaising with paper sourcing, warehousing, distribution and customer support teams along the way.Youll help the entire mill to function in a more efficient manner, liaising with Production teams to manage capacity, planned shut offs, and other instances that may affect how quickly we can get our products to customers. You and the team will also takeresponsibility for external converting of our products and creation of dispatch instructions that help our Warehouse and Logistics teams to operate properly. In addition to this, youll work with external customers and look after any meetings, complaints anddelays, making sure that the team works towards carefully selected KPIs.If you are a structured person that enjoys working with a number of different teams to establish an effective process, then this could be the role for you!About you

  • Experience working in supply chain, with an ability to manage end-to-end processes
  • Understanding of production planning, and supply and demand throughout the business and wider industry
  • Experience in a large, fast-moving manufacturing organisation
  • Process driven and able to solve problems methodically
  • Able to build strong working relationships with colleagues and customers
