Job Description

Are you a Warehouse Supervisor from a retail distribution background with strong people management skills We are recruiting for Warehouse Supervisors for aclothing retailerin Jarrow, near South Shields. This is permanent role with a starting salary £33,500per annum dependent on experience, working4 on/ 4 off rotating 0600-1630/ 1200-2230. Package includes 25 days holiday, pension, subsidised canteen, performancerelated bonus, staff shop and huge discounts on company products!As Warehouse Supervisor you will be part of a Team of 4 Supervisors on shift, managing up to 20 direct reports each, working within a large, single floor warehouse which experiences peak periods with up to 30,000 units per week in/ out. You will be a hands on supervisor managing and controlling shift activities from goods in through to dispatch ensuring KPIs are being met. Your role will involve managing staffing levels and assigning workload giving clear and precise instructions to all warehouse staff. You will monitor sickness and absence levels, completing return to work documentation as required. You will document all stockmovements via paper copy as well as through the inhouse systems. All investigations, disciplinaries and appraisals are your responsibility as well as monitoring performance of your team. It is essential you have Supervisory experience within a warehouse ideally working for a retailer (clothing would be advantageous or another BIG brand). You will have worked in a company that experiences peak periods, and will have previously managed up to 20 staff including temporary staff with strong people management skills. Good IT skills are required including MS Office, in-house systems and handheld scanning technology. Working knowledge of work scheduling and planning is important along with excellent interpersonal skills.
