Job Description

Are you passionate about forwarding your career in Finance & AccountingAre you looking for an opportunity to get into a growing organisation, make waves and showcase your potentialWe have an excellent opportunity within an established business in the County Durham area, who is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Administrator to join their busy growing team.The right candidate would be given the opportunity of progressing further their career within the Company and should be AAT qualified or qualified by Experience with good IT skills.As part of the Accounts Team, you will be reporting directly to the Accounts Office Manager, liaising/assisting & your initial role will be to undertake general book keeping duties:Duties include:

  • Data input
  • Sales Ledger - Receipts/monthly Statements & liaise with Clients to help resolve any queries regarding overdue monies
  • Cash book entries/bank reconciliations
  • Supplier payment processing via BACS System
  • Assisting with month end preparation/job cost/labour analysis
We are looking for:
  • Good excel skills are required & some knowledge of software systems
  • Currently using Opera 3 and XRL, although in house training would be given
  • Experience within a finance role
  • AAT qualified or qualified by Experience
Progressing further with future training on:
  • Digital VAT/Reverse VAT/CIS deduction Scheme
  • Assisting with payroll - training would be given
  • Nominal Ledger/Journals - Month end procedure
  • Pension Scheme
  • P11ds
  • QA System etc
Benefits:
  • Salary £25,000-£28,000
  • 26 days holiday + BH (3 kept for Christmas)
