Job Description

Stonegate Group are looking for our next Director of Learning and Organisational Development, to join the HR Leadership Team.This pivotal role supports the overall business strategy and helps Stonegate grow through our employees via our Learning & Development initiatives. As Director of Learning and Organisational Development, youll continueto develop and enhance the business’stalent & evolve Stonegate’s future leaders, whilst leading a highly skilled team. We have anembedded culture of learning within Stonegate, which is continually evolving - we have approximately 2000 people on programmes annually.In this role, you will need to be an inspirational leader, with outstanding project management skills and signiifcant experience in leading complex learning teams to success.Key responsibilities include

  • Leading a team for five direct report specialists and their further team of circa 40 individuals
  • Planning and execute Stonegate’s overall L&D strategy for leaders as well as employee, in line with business objectives
  • Planning departmental and functional training budgets of over £3million (£1.6M core, £1.6M Apprenticeship Levy), forecast costs and delegate numbers as required by organisational planning and budgeting systems
  • Developing and maintain a leadership training strategy across the whole group and continue the three current large scale interventions from FranklinCovey
  • Leading the Annual Talent review process for the company
  • Introducingnew L&D programmes on an ongoing basis to support changing strategic objectives, anticipating (and eliminating) future skills gaps through incisive new L&D programming
  • Drivingcompletion through all levels of the two career pathways
  • Producingorganisation strategy and plans to meet training and development needs, manage training delivery, measurement and follow-up as necessary
  • Designing training interventions necessary to meet training needs, or manage this activity via external providers
  • Constantly innovate, evolve and amplify the existing L&D offers
  • Identifying, selecting and managingexternal training and accreditation bodies, agencies and providers necessary to deliver required training to appropriate standards
  • Ensuringall training activities and materials meet with relevant organisational and statutory policies, including health and safety, employment and equality laws
