Training ChampionCompetitive SalarySherburn LS25 6LPFull TimeA great opportunity for an excellent communicator who understands warehouse processes to effectively deliver training to warehouse colleagues so they meet the required standards to pass off as competent.Clipper Logistics is one of the leading retail fulfilment businesses in the UK, with ability and agility at our core, our cutting edge operations allows us to provide world-class customer service to customers such as John Lewis, River Island, Marks & SpencerandPrettyLittleThing.comYou will participate in the exchange of technical skills and processes that deliver consistency and enhance colleague capability, whether that be in a technical (JDA or other WMS programmes) and or the understanding of the physical processes across a rangeof operational disciplines throughout the warehouse.In this role you are accountable for:

  • Being an active member of the sites training team, and where trained to do so Training Champions will deliver a range of training interventions from mandatory H&S training (Manual Handling) through to systems training (JDA) if you have been trained andsigned off as being competent and capable to do so.
  • In addition to being a role model in respect to Clippers code of conduct, you should have a full and in depth understanding of the Level 1 competency framework and be able to inspire others to reach this level.
  • You will also be expected to conduct practical work-based assessments on colleagues. Training champions will have to demonstrate the knowledge and practical application of skills that have been shown to complete to assess their suitability for end of probationsign off.
  • When you are not involved in training activity you will be working as a warehouse colleague
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
  • Previous experience of delivering mandatory and technical skills (including induction
  • Training) using a friendly approach to explaining and demonstrating.
  • An A1 assessor qualification would be ideal.
  • The ability to design and write SOPs and Risk assessments would be advantageous. Up keeping training matrices and training records to ensure company H&S compliance.
  • Having gained a general understanding of all operational processes and procedures that a
  • transition to more complex processes or WMS knowledge is gained.
Required skills, knowledge and experience:
  • Previous experience of working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment undertaking
