An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Manager to join our client’s team based in Sherburn-in-Elmet, near Selby, Yorkshire. This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis in return for a highly competitive salary.Our clientis a market leading manufacturer of premium and high performance rigid insulation products and insulated systems for building fabric and building services applications. Manufacturing excellence, first class customer service and unrivalled expertise in meeting the needs of the market are just some of the many strengths that they offer.They are looking to recruit a Maintenance Manager at their site near Selby reporting to the Operations Manager. The position carries responsibility for leading an experienced team of engineers working in an environment where there is an established regime of KPIs. The manufacturing process is highly automated using high-value capital equipment and it involves a mix of mechanical, electrical and process engineering technologies.Responsibilities of our client’s Maintenance Manager:The site has multiple manufacturing lines working on various continuous shift working patterns. There is a high emphasis placed upon equipment availability and adherence to world class operation and maintenance standards.You will be responsible for the leadership of shift based maintenance teams with the core responsibility of bringing the maintenance systems in line with best modern practice, maximising plant Health and Safety, utilisation, output, OEE and quality.Skills and Experience required of their Maintenance Manager:Ideal candidates will be accomplished and proven maintenance engineering management professionals, with a progressive career within a world-class process based manufacturing company. You will need to be highly organised and have a real strength in delivering a world-class service to the site with proven people management skills.Ideally you will hold a degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar, and a recognised health and safety qualification such as IOSH Managing Safely. An awareness and understanding of ISO 9001 (Quality), 14001 (Environmental), 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) and 50001 (Energy) would be advantageous.Attention to detail, and excellent communication and planning skills are key to this role. From time to time you may provide assistance and support to other sites within their group of companies which may involve travelling to those sites.
