Job Description

TRC Group are currently recruiting for Machine Operators based in the Sherburn in Elmet, LS25 area.Pay Rate: £9.57 - £9.77 per hourHours will be worked on a rota and alternating shifts:06:00am - 18:00pm/18:00pm - 06:00amThe Role:2

  • As a Machine Operator you will be responsible for creating finished Goods, help save costs and materials for customers and the company.
  • You will be responsible for the use of Machines such as Bagging, S Printing, Bulking, Foiling and Netting machines.
  • The operative is required to ensure that product meets the specifications through exacting adherence to process control.
  • Manage quality control and monitoring of the preventions of any risks and hazards that may occur.
  • Adhering to Food Safety at all times.
  • You will have staggering breaks enabling consistent packaging in the factory.
  • You will be required to participate in manual handling with Reel changing on baggers.
  • You will report in to your Team Leader and adhere to any instructions.
Your Duties:
  • Although you may be unsupervised and required to manage their packaging line- staff deployment, SIC, QAS and paperwork completion.
  • Ensure compliance to safe systems of work
  • Complete daily/weekly/monthly hygiene as per cleaning schedules to the correct standards
  • Complete relevant Critical Control Point checks
  • Monitor asset performance and raise corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance to BOMs
  • Ensure that the quality of the product is kept to a high standard at all times.
  • Ensure the packaging of the product is kept to high standard at all times.
  • 100% compliance to QAS standards
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Must have a Good level of English and Maths demonstrated by GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C or above or completion of Advanced Core Competency testing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of training others/coaching and the ability to confirm understanding when managing staff
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work within a team as well as an individual
  • Ability to work to targets
  • Flexibility to work within other areas of the business when necessary.
