This is a fantastic opportunity to join our client. Located in Sherburn-in-Elmet, the growth in their customer base and significant expansion planned for its Selby site has created a vacancy for an Extrusion Line Multi-Skilled Operator. The production line runs 24 hours Sunday 10pm to Friday 10pm on a rotational 3-shift system.You will be familiar with start-up and production processes, whether they are extrusion or secondary operations. You will have experience within a similar manufacturing environment or have worked on mass production processes that include automated saw operation, product wrapping and product quality inspections. You will be used to working within a shift pattern and be prepared to be flexible within the workplace. You will be keen, motivated, proactive and willing to accept a challenging environment.In an ever-changing role you must have a can-do approach to your work at all times.Responsibilities of our client’s Extrusion Line Multi-Skilled Operator (Extruded Polystyrene):- Start up, recipe setting, operating and shutdown of extrusion machines- Manufacture to customer specifications, carrying out regular inspection of product to quality standards- Acting on own initiative to rectify any product out of specification- An understanding of indicators to improve quality and reduce scrap- Record machine running parameters and settings as agreed in process quality plans- Contribute to process improvementsSkills and Experience required of the Extrusion Line Multi-Skilled Operator (Extruded Polystyrene):- Experience of Extrusion operation- Understanding of all health and safety issues within a busy factory environment- Analytical and mechanical capabilities are essential in order to identify issues within the production process- Basic level of computer- Good communication skills are essential- Evidence of team working, working on own initiative and responsible for personal self-development- Highly motivated to learnIf you could succeed in this role and fit our client’s criteria, please click ‘apply’ now to be considered as their Extrusion Line Multi-Skilled Operator (Extruded Polystyrene).Closing date for applications: Friday 26th February 2021
