Job Description

An exciting new opportunity has opened for an Edge Bander Operator at our company in Sherburn in Elmet.This company is looking for an Edge Bander Operator to join there team as soon as possible. The working hours are monday to friday, 8am - 16:30pm for the first few weeks and then you will move on to shifts.Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Edge Bander Operator to hit the ground running, so the perfect candidate will have previous experience using edge banders.Key Responsibilities:

  • In line with the planned manufacturing schedule, edge all the different job folders in the correct sequence.
  • Ensure that correct edging wood is applied in relation to the specification shown on the cutting list.
  • Ensure that the panels are safely loaded and unloaded into the machine.
  • Ensure that the edging quality is to expected standards and adjust machine setting accordingly. Report any issues back to the supervisor.
  • Assist with material management with flagging up any concerns on stock levels.
  • Monitor edging time versus planned time
  • Ensure that the glue pot is maintained and cleaned at the end of each shift in line with manufacturer recommendations.
  • Maintain the machine in line with recommendations.
    • Qualification:
  • Previous experience on operating edgebander
  • Knowledge of timber material specification
  • Previous experience in working in a factory environment
